Animal Farm Scene 1: Old Major’s Speech Narrator: This is Manor’s Farm. This is Mr Jones the farmer. Mr Jones was a bad farmer. He didn’t feed the animals. He didn’t milk the cows. He beat them with a stick. Mr Jones preferred to drink alcohol. The animals in the farm was very disappointed with Mr Jones’s act. One night, when Mr Jones was fast asleep in a drunken stupor, the animals had a meeting. all of his animals meet in the big barn at the request of old Major , a 12-year -old pig. Old Major delivers a rousing political speech. Old Major: Comrades, you have heard already about the strange dream that I had last night. But I will come to the dream later. I have something else to say first. Jones, the farmer did not treat and feed us properly. Animals: Yes, we are hungry! Give us food!! Old Major: He hasn’t milked the cows for days. Cows: Moo.. We need milking! Old Major: He hasn’t clean our barn for days. And, on top of that, he beats us with a stick. Animals:
